Default Lake Piru's water level?

I went there for the 1st time yesterday & the water level is so low that they have signs up warning you & saying boat at your own risk because of this.

Is there anyone on this site that knows much about Piru?
I really like the lake & would love to see it with the water level up.

I didn't catch anything, Lately I never do...

Do they raise the water level at certain times a year or???

It's been much lower in the past. I think it fishes better when it's near full but when the water warms up a little more it will be good out there.

The stuff on the right side of this photo was good on Saturday. "Stickman" knows all the other good spots.

I saw what I would imagine are good spots all over the place.
Do they raise the water level every season or once a year or you just never know?
