Default I should get out this weekend

So, I opened my eyes just in time to hear the KGO weatherman say, "It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WEEKEND!" I always heard after a front you need to wait three bluebird days before the fish start a good bite. True or false?

How would you guys fish the Delta and/or Clear Lake on the first bluebird day?

Tami?
Tom?
A/C?
Jigs?
DB Cooper?
Dave at Clearlake Outdoors?
Ed at Tackle it?
Anybody?

Chime in.

Here is the way I see it, who gives a C&^% what the weather is like, if you have a day off go fish! I am not 1/100th as qualified to answer your theory question as the others you have asked but from my experiences on the water I have found that pressure changes can give fish lockjaw at times. I still think people read into pressure and moon phases too much because most of the time you can always get at least a couple fish to bite if you know where they are and figure out what they want to eat... I would go out there and try to wack em'. For me the delta has sucked so I would stick with clearlake (even if its been brutal as of late).. You will never know how good or crumby the bite is unless you go fish....

Even the worst day on the lake is better then the best day at work...

But how deep would you fish and what would you throw? What structure would you look for?

Even though fishing is what I do for a living....I really struggle directly after a storm front and since I am a Co-Angler, AAA, Nonboater, Backseater...or what ever else someone might want to call it.....it still remains that I have no boat.

So...my strategy would probably include a Pro or a Fishing Guide helping me figure them out. I would definitely try the breaks, with a dropshot. Possibly a weighless senko if I see suspended fish on the sonar, and I wouldn't discount fishing a worm on a shakey head super slow. Oh and a Maverick jig.

the last few trips have been a mixed bag, I would have about 4 things tied on first would be a lipless crank in some type of shad color, second would be a jerkbait in the same color, 3rd would be a jig and last would be a dropshot. Beleive it or not the bites I have gotten the last few times up were shallow, even last weekend my bites and many others were between 3 to 5 feet of water but I think many of the fish have moved off shore. If you can find any kind of weeds fish them otherwise look for some deeper structure. The water is cold up there so slow things down no matter what you use!
