Berkley AC/ WRL Opener on Mc Clure

2011 is here and I know a lot of anglers out there have already decided where you are going to fish and what you are going to fish. The Berkley AC/ Western Rookie League had a record breaking season in 2010 and it looks to be another great year!

I was at Lake Mc Clure yesterday where the Mother Lode Region had their first event. With a cold overcast and misty day with no wind, this looks to be great elements for spotted bass. The reports on this lake were good with a 9 plus pound spotted bass and one over five caught Saturday. After all the boats had blasted off, 95 teams was the ending count, you heard me 95 teams! A new Mother Lode Berkley AC/ WRL record!! Look for the results to be posted here and on other sites.

For other Berkley AC/ WRL events, look for the Central Division on Lake Millerton on January 22, 2011. The next event, we would like to welcome southern California to the Berkley AC/ WRL! The director Jim Reyes first event January 29 at Castaic Lake followed by the Northern Region on February 5 at Lake Oroville. Last but not least, Delta/ Wine Region will have their first tournament on February 19 at Lake Berryessa. Any amateur anglers, who would like to fish a fun and enjoyable tournament circuit, come out and play.

i sniffed enough fog at McClure, and been holed up since the date...need y sunshine ( : sun is shining on the eastern side of the sierras...but no bass....
