California seems to be struck every 9 to 15 years with a super storm. Since I was a kid , 1955, 1964 devasted western California towns and rivers I had a chance to see that one first hand, 1973, 1986 not so bad, 1990's,1995/1997 Shasta lake was down so low they said it would take years to fill it up again, ( one season raised 180 ft full to the max), flooded the Sac valley, pinapple express stroms rained on the snow in the Serrias also flooding Don Pedro going over the spillway. Another one is due soon. It is to bad they can't find a way to save all that water for drought years. With the 20 ft plus deep snow this year, a warm rain in the mountians could sure do some damage in a hurry!
