Default Here is a good question....

At a lake in SC county, the bass were very deep under trees and they were suspending with their backs nearly out of water. What bait would you throw? I thought about a frog, but the trees are too thick to get one to where the fish are sitting.

A fluke is too light. Its hard to get a jig to where they are.

You might try skipping a Senko or a tube bait.

Yes, now that I know what you're talking about forget the fluke, senkos work better, and jigs have caught the majority of my fish there. Just get it as far in there as you can. Rattles may help bring em out, the water is pretty stained.

The water isn't that stained. They are sitting right under the surface getting warm.

Good luck man, let me know how you do out there and I'll do the same.

You can always go old school and bring the longest rod you can find. Reel the jig to the tip and reach the rod in there and drop it. The fish there aren't super spooky, you can get close.
