Default Another jig making Question..

I just got done pouring and painting (pro tech powder) some football jigs...No matter what I did I couldn't keep from filling the eyes w/ paint..I was heating them up with a torch and I tried dipping them at different temps but it didn't seem to matter..Now I have about 100 eyes to clean before I bake them...

Is there a way to keep the eyes free while painting?

Whats the easiest way to get the paint from the eyes? I thought about a small drill bit but dont want to create a sharp edge for the line to touch

a small piece of a coat hanger or thick paperclip(small U-shaped) will not burn up with torch, pull out with pliers(hot wire)

Are you dipping it in the cup or a fluid bed?

After you swish it in the paint put it back over your heat source to smooth the finish out. While it's still hot take a piece of wire and run it through the eye slowly, the paint will stretch out as you run the wire through, don't pull the wire back yet, let the paint dry a few seconds then pluck it off the end of your wire and then pull your wire back out and reheat to smooth the finish around the eye.

That sounds much more complicated than it really is. I use a hook (cut off at the bend) for my wire. Some colors are are more prone to clogging the eye than others.

I use a fluid bed but I still clean out the eye while it's hot.
