Anglers Choice Golden Valley Pine Flat results
 

The outstanding sticks of the Anglers Choice Golden Valley Region meet today at Pine Flat Lake. The twenty four teams were greeted with beautiful spring weather. The pre tournament word was the bite had recently slowed to a crawl. However, with spring fast approaching and the recent warm weather in the area, someone was going to find a big girl on her way shallow. At the conclusion of the weigh in it was the talented team of Vice and Krandal Bryan who came away with the win with a very impressive bag of fish weighing 13.91 pounds. Vince and Krandal also had the second big fish of the tournament a huge 4.97 pound spot. Vince and Krandal took home a nice $2395 check for their victory. Vice said they caught most of their fish in less then ten feet of water on swim baits and jigs. Second place went to the team of Dean Miller and Darrel Masterson with a nice bag totaling 11.36 pounds. Dean and Darrel earned $880 for their great day of fishing. Dean and Darrel are the regions defending anglers of the year and in our last three tournaments they have two wins and this second place finish. Finishing third was the team of Mike and Joe Meier with a mixed bag of spots and largemouth totaling 11.15 pounds. Mike and Joe had the big fish of the tournament a beautiful 5.66 pound largemouth. Joe said he caught the huge fish early in the morning on a rip bait. Mike and Joe took home $1325 for their day. Congratulation to all of the top finishers. Our next tournament will be at Millerton Lake on April 9th.
