Two sides to every story? That doesn't even apply to this situation with Rfisher and son-in-law. They were not doing anything suspicious, making any loud excessive noise, or violating any law pertaining to fishing at night at Clear Lake. Shoreline homeowners along Clear Lake have no special rights which supersede the rights of others accessing a public trust domain. These two anglers were verbally assaulted, then the mention of a good way to get shot is a threat that should not be taken lightly. If their concern is protecting their property, then invest in a good security system. If they see suspicious activity, call the police, but don't take it upon themselves to impose rights that do not exist. That would be like stating homeowners living on a public street have the right to tell people they could not walk by on the sidewalk, or drive by on the street.
