Default Rookie leauge tournaments

Hey just trying to see what you guys think the best rookie leauge tournament series is for true rookies? I'm looking at 100% and Won bass. Anyone know anything? I fished the won bass at clear lake over the weekend. Not all of those guys looked like rookies(shirts with sponsor logos all over them)....but maybe thats just how it goes? No worries...just wondering.

Jon

I have fished it for a few years, and don't let the name Rookie fool you. You have to win 4,000 dollars in one year to not be able to fish it anymore. There are good sticks in there too. 100% does a great job! they changed the name from 100% Future pro cause they did not want to be associated with Vince. I complained heavily about that on WB a couple years ago, but whatever it still good to fish, and is ran very well. I also fish ABA Folsom, and ABA Delta these are to other very well ran circuits.

I would call Vince at FPT or Randy at WRL. Randy is very tight on who he lets fish. Vince puts on the best show I have ever seen at a team tournament. And don't forget just because someone is wearing a boat companies shirt doesn't mean their sponsored, you can buy them.

I think they hate getting bass slime on their Tuxedos.

Wearing log shirts or other clothing is not someone trying to be something they're not. A lot of times it's showing support for the product line you use and support of the industry overall. Also, some of that clothing is marketed because it offers the type of clothing that best suits fishermen. If you fish any level of sanctioned tournament circuits, don't let the clothing thing get into your head.

Some boat makers also have tournament contingencies that pay cash on team tournaments, but there are requirements like wearing logo clothing and displaying decals on boat and truck. Like was said earlier, don't let someones clothes affect your approach to a team tournament.

Ranger Boats pay a contigentcy fee to Ranger owners that are registered in the Ranger Owners Group if they win or are the highest finishing Ranger owner. The Future Pro Tour is the only "rookie" league to offer this. Ranger is very strict on clothing and boat decal requirements and if you don't meet those requirements, you don't get the cash. It is not about looking the part, it is about cashing some additional checks.
