Yeah...you sure did LOVE that technique...took enough of my money doing it!

Best of 2011 was making all our own jigs, worms, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits and catching fish strictly on those this year!

Best: Fishing behind Greg Hackney while he flipped heavy cover during the FLW Event on Lake Champlain

Worst: Trying to catch fish behind Greg Hackney while he flipped heavy cover during the FLW Event on Lake Champlain

Best year so far with tons of great memories.

My first most memorable moment of 2011 started off with one the lamest cast I have ever made. 5 turns in to the retrieve I get hammered, and I set hard. She instaneously jumps and she has a huge head. My wife says "is that a double?" (I was so proud of her), Now what I forgot to mention was that my wife was then 6 month pregnant and definitely showing (I know, it sounds a little okie taking my pregnant wife on the boat, but she wanted to lay out and read). So here is this 6 month pregnant woman scrambling to get the net out of a mess of big treble hooks. Some how she does and in one last acrobatic jump the fish lands in the net before my wife ever submerges the net in the water. Almost instantly the net plunges into the water with fish and almost my wife. I quickly grab my wife and pull her back towards the back seat so she didn't fall in. Then we lift the net with the fish on to the back deck. Her words exactly "that is big [email protected]#%ing fish" -not one of her most eliquent statements but I will take it. Unfortunately, the fish was completely spawned out and was a snake of a fish. She only went 8lbs 14oz but sharing that experience with my wife was priceless.

My second most memorable moment of 2011 would have to be after a blown tournament opportunity (my fault) going out the next day and on our very first casts of the day we both hooked up on a pair of 5lbers on swimbaits (Joe's first swimbait fish). Then seeing him get all jacked up over his first swimbait fish was pretty awesome...got him hooked on it too. Sorry bro.

The best for me was fishing the moonlight event with a guy last summer. I'd never fished with him before. I asked him if he wants Join me right before the tourney. We had a crappy start and thought we were gonna run outta gas before we made it in. Then in last few minutes he sticks one over 8 on a spinning rod off the back of my boat. The guy was so jacked it was awesome. We won and he wins the BigBass plaque. Said it was the first trophy he'd ever won. I couldn't stop smiling the whole way home...

The best was Jigs Fall Classic in October; and being able to raise and donate $1200.00 for our disabled veterans!!

Mine would be a couple of swimbait trips a buddy and I had. Good times, lotta big fish in the boat even more that did not make it! I think telling him to swing a 7 and watching it make it halfway in and fall back into the water was the highlight . Luckily I got it together and netted it!

I completely forgot about that!!!...or maybe I tried to block out that epic fail of trying to swing that fish in. Kiddies do not try and swing 7's in boat on a ML 795 on the highest part of your boat...you end up with a "U" shaped rod. ...don't forget your epic day with that super short but hella fat 9. Net man of the year award = me...or at least least that day...you definitely put on a punker seminar.

Well, the only tournament I fished in the last 3 years was with Obermeister and his Strike King 5. We took third, I caught our largest fish on a modified Duh spinnerbait- which I then lost to the bottom.
