Default Navionics Premium, Platinum or Marine and Lakes???

I was trying to figure out the differences between the three versions of the Navionics chips. The Platinum version has 3D and satellite imagery but what is the difference between the Hotmaps Premium and the Marine and Lakes version? They are both listed at $99

It looks like Navionics is offering a buy one get one free offer until the end of May for the Marine and Lakes version but the only place I could find the information was on the Marine and Lakes webpage. http://www.navionics.com/marine_lake...es.asp?Lakes=1. Does anyone know if it applies to the Platinum version also?

Thanks, Frank

With the many GPS chip brands to choose from, how do you differentiate one brand from another? I just purchased two new Humminbird graphs and the buy one get one free deal makes Navionics look attractive but I haven't been able to find any comparisons anywhere online. Unfortunately the deal is only good until the end of May so any input is greatly appreciated.

I've always used the Navionics chips and have no complaints. You can go to any lake on the chip and have all the info you need to have a safe and fun trip. I think Premium and Platinum are the only two options anymore, http://www.navionics.com/lakes/compare_products.html.

Hi My name is Tshombe Moore with Navionics. There are several competitive brands on the market like LakeMaster, Lake Insight, and even Garmin. I have attached links below to screen shots that show the improved data (Navionics Freshest Data)that we have on Diamond Valley, near San Diego and New Melones right outside of Angels Camp. If anyone has some shots of DV and/or Melones from the other chart companies above please feel free to post to show the difference. bf = before freshest data update, af=after freshest data update.
