Default Shady deal at Oroville????

Does anyone know why in the **** in the dark they start releasing 3600plus CFS out of Oroville. They hold the water all day and at night kick it out. Seems dam strange to me when we are at record lows and there is already so much water in the system from storms. Below is the chart where they have been releasing 27 or 28 CFS until dark and they open the gates. Any ideas?

They do the same thing at Folsom around 9pm, to fill up Natoma, but no idea why they'd do it at Oroville

Why at night?? Seems sneaky!! They should hold every drop. We are in for a rough year for water.

I have a friend of mine Craig Debro, that works for Chanel 2 fox news. I am going to burn his ear with this one and lets see what happens when news crews start poking around at this.

Most likely this is done for power generation, which is typically done during off peak hours.

It does seem backwards however.....odd.
