Default clearlake/redbud

Don't launch outta redbud unless you have to. That algae down there is so thick and the stench is foul. I actuaully smelt it last Sunday when we came from the north to fish. I thought it was a hog lot. I was wondering who had a pig farm near this lake. Also the water intake just to the right of the ramp when you are leaving has no lights right now so be careful that is always what you judge with when your coming in. They need to fix that quickly. Some one's gonna whack it if they don't. The fire department was spraying that gack away from the ramp when we put in at 11:00 but when we pulled out at 11:00 pm it was right back. Had a great day out there yesterday caught bass up to six pounds. Just needed a clothes pin for my nose.

We went night fishing out of there on Saturday night and my trailer is trashed. Now my garage smells like that crap.

OMG! The green stuff smelled like perfume compared to the purple algae at the mouth of Cache Creek and in some of the smaller coves. I kid you not - I almost barfed!

Just heard on the radio up here that they are taking water samples in the clearlake area for a sewage spill into Clear Lake. We will see if they ever follow up to let us know if it was.

I heard the fire department & volunteers are working like crazy today to clean it up. Just a rumor though.
