24 #'s of drag is great but when you filp and pitch the 10-15' of line out isn't that much so I would definately look at a 7.1-1 reel and with good Good drag. check out the KVD Reel. It has a flippin switch and is high speed. they are under 100 bucks also. the drag is really tight. My son uses them and when I upgrade from my Quantum's this is what I am going to get.

I wouldn't get the Revo Winch. It has a 5.4:1 retrieve. If you want to stay with a Revo, get a SX or STX. Both of those are available with a high speed (7.1:1) retrieve. They still have overkill on the drag. Plus, the SX & STX are on blow out sales since the new model is coming out.

I prefer the Shimano reels myself. I like the centrifugal drag that comes on them better than the magnetic drag on the Revo SX/STX. In that price range, I would go with the Curado E7. BTW, did you know that the Winch has a centrifugal drag?

A high speed reel allows you to retrieve line more quickly to pitch again. It also allows you to take up line quickly. You will want that when the fish hits on the fall & you need to get the slack line tight to set the hook. The high speed reel also helps to turn that fishes head keeping him out of cover.

My Chronarch has 11lbs of drag. It has been more than enough on my 765 & 736 rods.

I'd get an sx-hs or a curado 200E7, I have both and both are nice. I have a few quantum accurist pt's also that I use for flipin', froggin', and punchin'. They are pretty nice reels and you can get them pretty cheap off ebay. I would steer clear of the KVD reel I had two and returned them due to bearing issues. I do still have the accurist pt reels and they are great reels for the price. But if you don't mind spending more dough then go with the curado or the revo sx-hs both are nice reels(the shimano is the nicer of the two IMHO).
