Default Toyota Tundra

Anybody have a Toyota Tundra that tows a bass boat??

I'm thinking about getting one, and I am not sure about the mirrors. Can you see around a Z520 with the standard mirrors, or do you have to buy the tow mirrors? I think the tow mirrors look funny, but you know when a non-boater backs down the ramp they need all the help they can get...

Anybody with the 5.7- How's your towing power and gas millage with a Z520 behind it?

Thanks for your input.

I have an 06 that I tow my 520 with. It tows fine, my is rated for 6500 pounds. The new Tundras are rated at around 10,000. My buddy has one and there is power to spare. Those trucks are sweet. Talk to KB he can hook you up with a deal.

I have an 08 CrewMax 4x4 5.7L and tow mirrors.......... plenty of power to spare and very roomy..gas milage is not it's strong point. Originally I got around 17-18 freeway not towing and around 13-14 towing.... now its lifted and has bigger tires so I only get about 12-13 towing and 15-16 not towing. Overall I love it...... not sure about the standard mirrors but you could always get the add-on type extensions if you just don't like the look of Toyota's tow mirrors

I have a 2003 with 80,000 miles and I have yet to change a brake light let alone anything else. Gas Oil and regular maintenance. It tows my 520 ranger like there is nothing behind it. Accelerate up the grapevine like there is no tomorrow. I recomend this truck to all for sure

I don't mean to hijack this thread but a couple of days before New Year I went truck shopping, the Tundra was on the list. I asked the salesman about tow mirrors and he had no idea.

The killer was after looking at 1/2 tons from Dodge, Chevy, Ford and the Tundra I came to the conclusion that $50K is too much for a truck, period.

I had a deal worked out on a new Tundra 2wd 4 door for less than $32000 out the door. The truck wasn't the top of the line but it had everything you need. 5.7L, cd, power everything. If the guy was trying to sell you one for $50,000 it must have been the top of the line limited or something.

Yes all the trucks I looked at were top of the line.
Ford- F150 Lariat
Chevy Silverado LTZ
Toyota Tundra Crew Max Limited
Dodge Crew Cab Laramie

All were closer to $50K than not, and I was not just disapointed but discusted as well.
