Re: Biggest soft plastic worm you've caught a bass on?
In the mid-sixties when a dozen jumbo shiners cost a dollar and covered moorage for a bass boat was $75 bucks a year at Lake Okeechobee, my brother and I would toss huge purple snake like worms poured with wire leaders and multiple weedless hooks. He chose the 14" and I preferred the 11" snake like prepackaged baits. It was 40 years ago and I can't remember the name or last time I saw these lures but they were killers for those big Florida bass. Some of our largest fish came while casting from the floats of his Cessna after landing in remote lakes out in the everglades. We would search for those lakes large enough to land AND take off from that had no signs of air-boat trails and cast for bass that had never seen a lure. Perhaps they though our huge baits were snakes....
Those were the days...
Does anyone know the name of those baits?
