Skeets Boat of choice?

So anybody know what Skeet is running this year?Still a Champion???

Skeet's running his Champion/Mercury combo from last year.

I can't speak for Skeet - but, everything I have heard him say sound like he loves the boat.

I also have not spoken to Skeet about his boat deal(s) but, in my opinion I think he's holding out for Champion again once the dust settles. Skeet's a very loyal guy to his sponsors and making a change is hard for him to do. As you can tell if you've seen him on stage or talked with him... he's a really emotional guy and personable. From what I can tell Skeet values his sponsors as business partners as well as friends which makes it tough to switch.

I thought Champion was done. Did someone buy the company after Ranger dumped them? I thought I just read an article about this somewhere.

I found that article....it's in this monthes "BassMaster" magazine, page 10 under "Rising from the Ashes". Keith Daffron (VP of Sales for Wood Manufacturing) said "We are still unsure about Champion. We have ceased production on all Champion boats right now until we analyze how that brand fits in with the Ranger and Stratos families". Just doesn't sound good for Champion.

Maybe Skeet is holding out until that decision is made. I'll ask him after this event or if I see him at weigh in or at Clear Lake.
