AC - what exactly would you carry? A 9MM? A 45? They have MACHINE GUNS.... you'd be better off without a gun!!

I would have a 250 Motor minimum for SURE!

Good point Tom but I still think I would rather carry my 1911A1 along with with my 250 outboard. Good stopping power with the trusty 45acp, cheap ammo and always reliable. Perhaps if the pirates get the hint that their prey is armed it would at least make them think twice about going after boats. At the same time how much protection does a 250 offer? Top speed in the fastest boat is what, 85 mph? A 7.62 travels at about 2000 fps... gunna take a bit more then a 250 outboard to get away from machine guns if they really want to harm you. I am actually supprised more bass boat owners in Texas are not packing. They give away permits like Cali gives away tax dollars...

Just use this as a bass boat and no worries.
