Clear Lake this year, like and good first date ........
Up and down.... 
But seriously ......
Tougher than normal bite this year, aside from bed fishing the week of the AC pro/am.
Last weekend 14lbs on Saturday got second place
and sunday 22lbs won it and 14lbs didnt get you anything......
Anybody with experience remember years like this at the Pond!
I am still a little new to know past 3 years.....

According to URBAN there is nothing wrong 
Still trying to figure out why he is not out there taking everyones money since the fishing is so good???

Clear lake is on a down hill slide from the hey days of big bags every tourny, ask any of the local guides !,they will tell you!,less fish less bait ,more & more fishing pressure, sorry to say ",but it is the truth! ..........

What shocks me is the number of tournies (boats) the dfg is giving permits to on the same weekend.

It is never just one thing - there are usually several factors in any given situation. The fishing pressure has definitely increased, unique weather patterns, high water to very low water and vice versa, major algae blooms, explosive weed growth. Geez no wonder the lake is so hard to figure out. Mix that up with the fact that there are many Florida strain bass which are know for this finickiness...... lots of stuff going on there and it should cycle back again especially if we have a couple of good years of rain. The high water and warmer winters help the bait and juvenile bass, bluegill, crappie, ect.

Good call Sramos,you summed it up, key words: fishing pressure, Florida strain bass, odd weather year and extreme lake conditions, water levels and fast weed growth. The Silversides I think will come back thick. I don't don't want to believe the lake is on a down hill slide tho the big fish over 8# have been absent the last two years. Fickle and tough at times still a great lake and remains one of the best ever...

I am sure Steve and his fishing partner wouldn't mind taking your money if you want to donate to them. Shoot him a pm and see if you could set up a friendly wager between your boat vs. theirs. It would make an interesting topic either way.
