Default On selling a boat

I boat a Aluminum 16'8" welded modified V Gregor with a in perfect shape 70 hp Merc on it. The boat hadn't been used in 12 years and had been sitting under a covered area. It did show some signs of wear. I threw away a lot of outdated crap and some older things with signs of wear and completely refurbished the boat, live well, bilge, motor and trailer.

I'm ready to sell it but I'm wondering how important electronics are in selling a boat. Everyone asks, "Does it have a fish finder?"

Knowing that everyone has their own tastes in what electronics they want on a boat, I thought I'd leave it up to them on what they wanted for electronics.

Or, should I just get a cheap eagle fish finder and mount it on there to help the sale?

Save your money Greg and sell it as is. Let whoever buys it get what they want. Good luck.

Yeah Greg. you're not going to get a lot for it so let the new owner decide what they want.

Maybe you can get a quote for a local dealer on what it would cost to install a unit. I think a lot guys have no idea. It is easy to see what the units cost but not what it cost to get them installed. I happened to install my own but not everyone can or will want to take on that kind of project.

Hey Greg,
When they ask you if it has a fish finder, tell them it will. He's called the Captain.
