Default big rubbers

Does anyone still make a jig with the big FLAT RUBBER skirts any more? I see round rubber, silicone, even saw a maker with tiny flat rubber... no wide FLAT RUBBER tho...

Lots of great Jig Sponsors on this board - but, I don't know of any who make the "mop style" jig you are talking about.
The only ones I know about are Johnny C's http://www.californiareservoirlures.com/Turantulas.html

I had a bunch of that material laying around here for 2 years, left over from Gypsy Jim Tackle. I dumped it. :-(

The Cal Res. site looks good, ask Davy Hite... Buckeye lures come to mind tho I have no idea if they make jigs with that strand . I do know living rubber was hard to get a while back and supplies were limited Skeet used some homemade mop or xthick jigs to backdoor Hite on Guntersville this year near the bridge.

Its called wide legg the flat strands of rubber are 1/8 inch wide for making tarantula style baits colors black, brown, chartreuse, white, purple, yellow it has 12 strands 1/8 inch wide Also there is heavy round rubber that has 24 strands colors black, brown, white also work great for tarantula style baits. Its very easy to tie and you can add silicone accent colors or flashabou accent colors when tying both materials. www.livingrubber.com ask for paul they carry all your jig rubber material

Ive got the wide legg in black brown and purple It really looks good when you mix it with a few strands of regular round rubber or heavy round rubber and by adding both flashabou or silicone rubber you can give the fish a very different look when adding the right trailer too the bait.

Johnny C makes them, Leftys Lures Makes them, Snakebite Baits Makes them, I believe Berserk Baits makes them. I believe all made to order, your color, all good jig makers! Not sure about D&M or Jig Monster. Ganns or Pepper Jigs ?
