Default opinion on boats

I need some help from you boaters out there. As of right now i am a kicboater. Next year (feb-march) i am plannin on steppin up and buying a boat. I cant afford new and am looking in the range of 7500 to 11000. I have been seeing all kinds of boats ranging from trackers and nitros to rangers and tritons and so on, price ranges are all over the place. What should i be on the lookout for? I know that everyone has there peronal preference and all.

I am sure i will get many different opions here. I just need some help.

Thanks,
D.J.

DJ,

I'm going give you the best advice I can based on my experience. I have traded enough horses to know the game.

First, don't rush into making a purchase. There is a huge glut of bass boats to choose from on the market today.
Second, consider what your ultimate goal is. Are you looking to fun fish or dive right into tourney fishing?
Third, I am partial to Rangers. Like Roger said, they are tough, and tough to beat!

Fourth, if you want to talk to me personally, shoot me a PM. There are too many variables to explain and post on this page.

It seems to me that Ranger boats hold their value better. You are on the right track dealing with Scott Green.

I understand the HUGE amount of variables. I think the biggest worry i have would be the motor.
