I like the fact that everybody is afraid to answer your question. As a kid in the 60's and 70's I grew up eating alot of bass from Casitas, Cachuma, Piru, and San Antonio - that's just the way it was back then. I have lots of pics of nice limits of bass with a broomstick shoved through the gills for the pic. There were no live release boats at local tourneys and it wasn't an issue to eat your catch. I still love to eat bass once in a while - any gut hooked fish will probably die so why waste them - I keep them and eat them. I probably eat 10 - 15 a year.
Come on people - Fess up!!!

The first big fish I caught (Maybe 3 lbs) was brought home and cleaned and cooked, I was about 10. I did not like it then and to this day do not eat fish. I love to catch em and love it more to see em swim away after un-hooking em!!

I dont bash on the meat fishermen it is their option, thank goodness we live in a place were we have the option to do just about what ever we want.

Absolutely NONE! Not a big fish eater and when I do have a craving I spend a few bucks at the store.

I dont mind turning some small spots into fish tacos but never a largie or smallie. When your campn at a lake you cant go wrong with some fried fish, corn tortillas, cilantro, onions, alvocado, lime and tapatillo and a 12 pack of sierra nevada.

Byron, I agree. In the 60s we ate everything that came into the boat. I also remember 25 years ago when 1 fish would net you a check at lake Havasu. Now its a great fishery thanks to the fisherman. Harvesting in moderation IMHO is OK. Note that half the fish I eat are floaters out of the live release boat after tournys. True enviromentilists are the ones who not only take but put back.

I went to this upscale restaurant last Saturday and they had a black bass dinner special. I ended up getting the seared tuna.

Love eating fish a LOT but fresh water just don't cut it. If I have a fish die I find someone that will love it fishing the bank and give it to them. Love sushi/sashimi and basically the majority of saltwater fishes!
