Vern Price - showed me a mix that works awesome. Go to your local auto store. Get some RV Windshield Bug Wash. 50/50 with Vinegar and it works awesome. Its like $10 a gallon or something - maybe cheaper.

my dad and I used to use this mix and it worked fairly well! I do remember it removing the spots off the cowling on our Honda 4 stroke. Now we are using Peregrine and it works wonders!

I've used the CLR cleaner to removed hard water spots. Worked great & fast.

Nothing else I've tried has taken them off except polishing compound. Peregrin, Pink Stuff, etc.

I've used a mixture of about 40% vinegar to 60% water for years and it works great and it's cheap.

wonderfoam will get every bit of hard spots and build up on your lower unit. My lower unit goes from looking like ass to looking like brand new. True Story.
