Default What have you found?

An earlier thread asked what you lost out of your boats...some of that stuff had to have been found by someone...picked up any goodies on the water?

I'll start...

A few years ago I found a Plano box of soft plastic craws floating in the White River back in Indiana...still have most of them...doesn't even come close to making up for all I lost though...

Caught a hat at Lake Sonoma. I had a fishing license and ab card. Met the guy at his house and returned it.

I guess I look at that darn lowrance the whole time. I can't think of anything I have found besides a few balls for the dog. Been thinking about this one all day long. I know where a guy lost his loomis with a blade on it, I guess i could go look for that.

Picked up a nice life jacket at Havasu last fall. A rod with a Shimano Calcutta reel on it at Castaic.

We were drifting the South Fork of the Eel River in the early nineties and found a quarter lb of Mendocino's finest on the bank during a pit stop.

Back in 82' or so the wind pushed us into the back of dead horse at Casitas and found a 6'+ plant of stinky green bud only 10' up the bank. Ripped that plant up striped it and put the bare stock back in the hole. Called it a day and went home.

I have found a few bags of weed floating at DVL. Some one must have been said when they realized that flew out. I caught a pair of Kaenon's with the jig. ( They were toast ) A few rods and reels.. a net... a lead pipe.. beer cans.. dead coot on the rip bait. the grossest one was a dead body fishing the tie ups when i was a deck hand. We dicked the boat up after the scrub down we dumped the tanks and we all would throw fishtraps and such around the pilings and stroke the spotties before we went home. One day I was walking down the dock pitching pilings and a saw a hand sticking out . Some bum was drunk and fell of top of the port walkway where all the bums hung out and must have hit his head and got pinned under the dock. When they removed the corpse it was the worst smelling thing I have ever smelled. Makes me want to puke just thinking about it.
