Default Frogs

Thinkin about picking up one of the new Koppers frogs when they come out..never fished a frog before though. What should I be looking for in the ways of color selection? Also, any tips on where/when to throw a frog would be fantastic.

I like natural colors. Throw it everywhere! You absolutely can NOT throw a frog in the wrong place. It is my opinion that too many people limit themselves on what to fish/where. A really good place to throw a Bobby's perfect frog (sparrow color) is near a bridge pillar with swallows around it. Don't limit yourself, I think that's the key.

The color on the bottom matters to the fish, the color on top matters to the fisherman. Frogs excel in places where anything else would get hung up but like RBass said you can throw them anywhere. Throw it up on the bank and work it into the water.

I like the cicada, natural red or brown colors ...Browns with white or brown bottoms....Echo on everyone else's sentiments on the frog...Throw it on the bank and fish all the stuff you always wondered about but couldn't/wouldn't cast an open hook at. I put glass beads and rattles in mine. I use a Stout rod and 65 pound braid. Can you tell I come from NorCal???
