that there won't be any Pro-Teams or day derbies this up coming year at Casitas. They did fairly well this year and those that fished had a very good time.
Well all that means is we need to keep a very regular plan to have Turkey Shoots as 19x stated in a previous post. This way we all can enjoy some type of competitive fishing on this lake as the normal derbies are now gone.

You can thank the lake manegement for that . Rediculious Quaga lock out and lack of trout plants starving out the big girls its not worth comming out anymore . Too bad , Casitas used to be somthing special . Remember haveing 30 + lbs at night and not cashing a check ? Those days are gone . The club idea could work out well for you all.
Your right Ron...the lake isn't the same and never will be again. The sad thing is that The lower lagoon at Castaic is the next to follow suit in losing the giants...
With all these ridiculous quagga rules it makes it NEARLY impossible to fish multiple lakes now days...DVL's crazy rules, Cachuma's rules, and Casitas rules... Seems like its a slow process before all lakes will be this way.
Just makes it hard for those stuck at Casitas to not have the ability to derby fish...
Oh well...i guess this is what the future generations have all wanted. LESS ability to fish.
