I'll second the tick problem. That's why I stopped going there. Place was crawling with them. Too bad, I liked fishing there. D.B.COOPER

The ticks aren't bad. All you have to do when you get home is just pull them off. My friends and i have been there three times and have caught 20+ fish. None below 2lbs and the biggest was about 8lb. Its weel worth it.

Well, the ticks are all over the place there. It prevents me from fishing the lake. There are 2 different types out there. Little black guys and huge red guys. I usually average about 10 an hour mostly on my shins. If one happens to make it home with you, it probably will be dug in by the time you hit the shower. I have tried repelants, but they dont work for me. I fish Alpine and Kent now and have no need to fish Tickasio

Ticks are all over the place everywhere. This is Tick season. Its usually the worst when the grass gets green and long. I recomend while in a group follow the same path and check your pants every couple minutes. Wear light blue jeans to see them easier. If you find one kill it dont just throw it down. These ticks cost people millions of dollars in doctor bills as well as vet bills for our pets as well. They also transfer lymes disease. These pests are no joke. Kill all you find

Lyme disease is very serious stuff. Growing up in CT I have quite a few friends that contracted this nasty disease from a simple tick bite. Trust me it ain't a question of *balls* when it comes to ticks.

(As an FYI, Lyme Disease gets it's name from the location it was first discovered in the US; Lyme, Connecticut.)
