Default Blue Lakes $ for trout

F&G quit planting CA lakes so to drum up more fishing interest at "his" lake, Art at the Narrows Lodge got 3 trout tagged and planted along with a couple thousand others 2 months ago and if you catch one of these Blue Lake taged trout there are cash prizes of $250, $500 & $1000. You have to pay $25 the day you fish to get in. I was up there the first week of june and caught a limit every daya but no taggers. There was also a 10.64lb trout caught from the bank while I was there. A new lake record and it was one of the plants Art put in. Art has the tag numbers and that's how the money is paid out.

Don't be like this 35 year old idiot and his dad that tried to turn in a tagged fish from an east bay lake as a Blue Lake Fish. Art's got the tag numbers. This guy went to the resort, paid his $25 and came back an hour later with a tagged fish. The tag didn't match any of Art's numbers. When Art told him he didn't win anything the guy's dad (remember he's 35 years old) called the Press Demcrat and said Art wouldn't pay his 13 year old son. The paper called Art and after they found out from Art the "kid" was 35 they dropped the story. The guy's dad has threatened to bury Art if he doesn't pay. F&G has confirmed where the guys tag came from.

This will probably kill the trout derby held in the Fall there as well because Art puts that on too and this guys dad regularly attends and brings in fish from other lakes to place at that event.

See what you get for trying to be a nice guy!.

If you aint got anything to do and you want to get the kids bit, Give the Narrows lodge a call @ 1-800-476-2776, find out about the latest plant and maybe the Tagged trout contest. Pick up some power bait and get your kids some fish.

Oh yeah, we threw grubs for a couple hours each day and caught 3-10 bass a day to 4.5lbs. Early and late was best. Water clarity 25+ft and water temp was 74 on day 1 and 68 when we left on June 7. There's a ton of wood in that lake.
