I launched out of H & H Marina and started fishing just outside the 5 mph zone. It was very cool this morning, so I didn't try to force the top water bite. My truck thermometer said 48*! There was a little fog in the fields.
I fished mostly worms (Senko, Yum Dinger, Berkley Heavyweight) and later in the morning got several on the buzzbait. The bite was the best I've had so far this year. I ended up with 29 bass, biggest went 5-02 lbs.
I fished Little Connection/Potato Slough, White Slough, and Potato Slough and the bite was good in all of them.
I tried spinnerbaits and jigs, but they didn't work today.
The best fishing was in the trough and near rock walls with access to deep water.
I broke off one fish on the hookset. First time I've done that.
