The rains have helped a lot. It didn't muddy up the water as bad as I thought it would. Water Temp is around 48 to 50 degrees. The rip bite has slowed down but you can still catch some on LC pointers in bone and aurora black colors.
The swim bait bite is starting stay with your dark colors the same with jigs.
The fish are starting to move and feed up. We had the Hook tournament on Sunday the 24th and all the fish were plump and fat. What I mean by moving they are feeding on points with current and staging areas for pre spawn. The water around Franks track is stained with about a foot visabilty. The Hook Tournament was won using the drop shot method and 6" robo worms fishing in less then 3 foot of water. Most fish are caught by almost dead sticking the bait. The further west you go the dirtier the water gets, the further inland you go the cleaner the water is.
For those of you fishing the WON Pro Am Feb. 5th and 6th you should have a good bite.
The Hook will be hosting the BBQ at the Oakley shop on the 4th which will be were the registration and pairings will be.
