Launched right after 8:30AM, wanted to get in a few hours of fishing before heading back home to watch the game. While I was preparing to launch I noticed a bald eagle in a tree, absolutely awesome sight. Once I launched I immediately started marking fish on the meter so I dropped the trolling motor and started spooning in 30'-40' of water. First fish came on the first drop in 30', a decent 1.5-2lb largemouth. Continued working the area and got the next fish in 35', a chunky 3lb largemouth. Next fish landed came about 30 minutes later a decent steelhead trout that wacked the spoon 3 times before finally getting hooked. That was it for the day as far as catching goes. Headed over towards the **** and spooned a bit more for nada. Boat back on the trailer by 11:30. Main lake clarity was stained, water temp 49-51.
