Stiff winds and lots of rain today, water temp 53 and stained. Started off in Cachuma Bay on the steep and rocky banks near Cachuma Point. 1st fish came from about 45' feet, a chunky LM. Made 2 more passes along the same stretch and picked up a 2nd LM about the same size as the 1st in about 20'. Couldn't get bit again so I ran down to the rocky bank behind the island and picked up #3, a skinny 14" LM. Ran across to the chalk bluff point across from the island and got #4, a SM in about 15'. Ran up-lake to the Santa Cruz Bay area and picked up another SM in 20', #5, limit just after noon. Ran back to Cachuma Bay hoping to cull my dink but never got bit again in there. At 2pm I ran across to the Cachuma Park area, the bank was getting hammered by the wind but I picked up a SM that culled and that was it for the day.
All the fish were caught on 1/2 ounce arkie jigs in brown with purple, orange or green accents. 3.5" trailers in browns and greens.
