I went to El Cap yesterday. The infinite wisdom of the City of San Diego decides that New Years day is not a good day to open the lake. Even though it is run by Iron Ranger and Thursday is their regular operating day, the gates were locked. Any wonder why fishing on San Diego City lakes is on a ten year decline?

Heading to Otay tomorrow for a shakedown T shoot then get ready for the long drive to my local fishing hole, Oroville. I fished Nor. Cal. more days last year than So. Cal. Looks like '09 will be the same.
