Default What a Day!

I finally got to go back to a private lake close to were I grew up and go fishing. The lake is Lake Wildwood. It is one the coolest place that I have ever fished.

I started off by picking up my brother in law and getting on the water about 8:00. On my third cast I caught a 6.96 on the new Jackall swim bait the “ Ninja.” For about 2 hours it seemed like we caught a fish about ever other cast. Most of the fish range from 3-5 pound range. Most of the largemouth in the lake are still in pre spawn with some spawning. After going through 2 swimbaits I decide to change up pace and flipping around a senko and a drop-shot around some of the docks and deep grass.

Almost ever dock seemed like it had a fish or two on it. About 10:30 I hooked into the biggest fish I have ever caught there an 8.34! What a fish. John and I continued to just wear them out for the rest of the day catching about 60 fish total. Our best five went 29.76 on the cull um rite. Can’t wait for the grass to get a little thicker so I can start froggin!

Lake Wildwood is really like fishing in a farm pond. Just AWESOME!

Tight lines Calbassin,
