The Buzzz-Falcon Lake Day 6 and 7
Day 6 Falcon Lake--- An Awesome Awesome Awesome Day!!
Yesterday was the day we’ve been waiting for. Falcon Lake lived up to its reputation ten fold!
We caught 37 bass - 18 of them were between 5 and 8 pounds and it was a slug fest to behold. My arm and shoulders are sore. Mike got a bruise on his chest from pulling a hog out of the submerged trees. I started catching my toads on Canyon Plastics Fightin’ Craw until I ran out of them. Fortunately, Tami had 8” Maverick worms. Unbeknowst to us the worm bite was awesome. More than half the fish came on the Maverick worm- color Ed’s Candy Craw. It worked so well we decided to name it after Tami and we’re calling it Candy Curtis.
Today the bite’s a little slower, but I did manage to land a 7 pounder. I broke my first toad off of a submerged tree while Mike managed to land a couple over 5 pounds and broke one off that was at least 8 pounds in the submerged tree tops.
Meanwhile Tami has been spanking the 3 pounders on a weightless Senko in open water and the Texas wind. How she does it is a mystery to Mike and I.
We have 4 days left of fishing. Will report again in a couple of days.
