Default Post spawn giants in falling water...

Give us a little help with post spawn giants in falling water.

In pre spawn the giant fish back off to the closest deep water. In post spawn the falling water does not seem to affect the big fish. The first couple weeks they usually hang around the spawning areas and are generally below the light breaks or in cover at the edges of the lights breaks. Also the points and ledges adjacent to spawning area. As the water falls during post spawn, they continue to hold on these same type of areas. Then they will start heading on out of the coves looking for shad. If there are shad schools holding in spawning coves they will be out suspended chasing bait. If there food supply is bluegill and the bluegill are shallow they will continue to be located on the ledges, secondary points, light breaks and heavy cover if available.

If you are talking lakes that have trout or salmon in them. It could be a different scenario. The bigger fish could be out chasing the trout and salmon.

If you are talking about a lake with hitch. It's the same as the trout and salmon. The bigger bass will be out traveling where the hitch are.

To sum it all up the big fish are going to be out feeding on hitch, salmon, and trout, if available.

Thats just the basic starting point. I hope this answers your question.
