Default Question about running two transducers on the back?

Doug,
I have a 998 already installed in the console and Ram mounting the 1198 on the side. I want to run one transducers for each unit. One on the left side of the Jack Plate and one on the right side. Will there be issuses if both units are on?
Thanks

Ok, so there would be cross talk. When I turn the Sonar off in the menu does it turn off the transducer?

With transducers that close high odds of cross talk. I would recommend using Ethernet to connect the two units and share a transducer between the two units.

Doug,
Thanks for your reply on Turning Off the Sonar from the Menu. I have two Transducers of the transom, one on the left and one on the right. I use the one mounted in the dash for GPS by turning off the Sonar and the Ram mounted 1198 on the console for finding fish. The cool thing is if I do not want to put on the Ram Mounted units then I just use the Indash Unit by Turning the Sonar back on. Samething up front. If I need the Big 1198 Screen I have it on the console and in the front and when I don't I still have the Console In Dash 998 and the In Dash 798 in the front. I Love it!!
