Love the pictures, please help us novices identify what you are showing us. Would love to learn how to read sonar better. 8).

I do that after the images are up a few days but trying to get people to guess what's in the images first before. It makes it easier when you have to think about what you are seeing then learn the answer. Look at the older posts here as many of them already have been answered. The posts with "?" Mark Icon are open but the ones with ;D Icon have already been answered about what's in the image. Take a guess and it's alot of fun and great way to learn about High Frequency Sonar.

Re: Find the Fish?

Not being familiar with Humminbird side imaging sonar the left side screen shot has some small fish suspended considering the depth is only 6.8', the right side has a few also. The fish appear as white marks with the unit adding shaddows on the bottom below fish. Are we supposed to rely on the shaddow bottom marks or try to see the suspended white marks real time while moving?

Re: Find the Fish?

Here's a Zoom on some of the fish. They are allover both sides. Even thou it was shallow water I was looking 100' to each side so that helps tell the size. One thing about suspended fish the shadow is not attached so it's easier to find them by recognizing this.
