Default Not a Lowrance question but close

I have an Eagle 480 on front. I run mostly at fastest screen speed I figured to pick up objects fast. With trolling motor, should I be running on slower speed, would it pick up targets faster and better on slower speed ?

Thank you

This is one of those situations where you need to experiment to see what works best for you. I late summer like now the water can be very clear is some lakes. Go to a lake where you can see the bottom and go over that area when you can see the stuff on the bottom and try the different settings and see how the screen looks and choose the one that is best for you.

There is nothing like doing this and figuring the settings out for yourself because of the stuff you will learn about your electronics. It's like the old saying "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime".
