Default 334CiGPS messed up

Ken my unit worked fine last time out, turned it on yesterday and all I can get is partial on the GPS side, no pages key to select sonar, menu only comes up on gps side and it does not function either, most of the keys have no action. Is there a hard reset that can be done or is it worth sending in for repairs if that is not possible. I ordered a new 5 with all the trimings to replace the 334, but if is worth it I would move it up to the trolling motor and store my 510. Thanks Danny

The LMS 334c is an old unit that was even before the LCX units. The 520 replaced the 334, now the HDS 5 replaced the 520.

As for a hard reset, with the unit off press and hold down the ZIN and ZOUT buttons and press and release the power key. Keep holding the ZIN and ZOUT keys down until the map of the US comes up, then release them. Now the unit is reset to original factory settings. Beware that this will also erase any and all waypoints, routes and trails you have saved along with all overlay data and custom settings you have made.
