Default changing depth finders

I am thinking of undergoing a project of changing my electronics and have a couple of questions. I have an hds7 on the consol and am thinking about moving the unit to the front replacing a 510c. Is this going to be a big hassle wiring transducer etc? The 510c works just fine I just want to put a next generation hd on the consol. Is there going to be major problems doing this? Also I would like to sell the 510c any market value for that unit?

Default Re: changing depth finders

The transducer and power cord should be the same blue connectors on the 510c that are needed to run any HDS unit so to move your HDS 7 to the front should be nothing more than changing the mounting bracket since it is different.
