Many times the DNR (Division of Natural Resources) totally poisons lakes in minnesota and restocks with game fish. They do it to get rid of carp. But car will go way back up into farm field drainage tile where there kind find enough oxygen to survive and eventually come back. I don't believe there's a wanton waste law on Carp in Minnesota.

Anyone ever eaten carp? I did once when I was 12. Had to try it. It only took once to realize I never wanted to try again.

He's been catching 12" perch which is a huge perch. They rival Walleye in taste and yes they eat em but like I said, "Unlike CA they really do have 10,000 lakes." The state put a lot of money into the fisheries and people travel from all over the world to fish it. The lakes have more fish now than when I was a kid.
