New Maps with SonarCharts are FINALLY here!!
Hi, Tshombe with Navionics here with an update on SonarCharts! The cool thing is for existing Navionics chart user's, you simply need to update your charts with the Freshest Data (make sure you check off that you want to download SonarCharts onto your card) to get it! Here is a link to our compatibility guide to see if your card will work with SonarCharts. http://www.navionics.com/en/document...v17feb28th2013
With SonarCharts™, Navionics becomes the first company in the world to introduce crowd-sourcing to cartography. While the SonarCharts™ layer is made up of data from multiple sources, its evolution over time, incorporating new sonar logs from the boating and fishing community, is revolutionizing cartography. It’s simple and convenient for anyone to record sonar logs and upload them to navionics.com. A few hours on the water can make a huge difference. Sonar logs can currently be recorded on Humminbird, Garmin, and soon, Raymarine. if you have a Humminbird, Lowrance, or Raymarine unit that can read our Platinum chart or the soon to be released Navionics + or Navionics Update you will be able to VIEW any SonarCharts that have been created! Here are a couple of screen shots from Folsom near Granite Bay!
