Joe,..
The last few days we had a mix of nice days and windy days with some rain,.. The bite for me was good in both conditions,.But.. with the wind it makes it tough to run around and hard to impossible to fish some spots.
On Sunday there was wind and waves and rain,.. so we fished in 1 spot and caught fish up to 6 1/2 and a 5 1/2 pounds and some 3 pounders,. both big fish caught by a 10 year old girl using soft plastics.
I am still fishing pre spawn areas.
Have Fun ! and enjoy your trip to Clear Lake

Clear Lake Fishing Report April 12-19
Water temp 54-62
Water Clarity 2-4 ft.
With the water level up and the surface temp rising there will be more shallow fish biting and more spawners everyday.
The fishing this last week has been great but the catching on some days slow, Its like one day they bite great and then the next I have to work hard to get a limit.
We are catching fish up to 5 1/2 pounds and even a few small keeper size fish. Using plastics, jigs, swim baits and minnows.
Tips, if you find a school of pre spawn fish and they dont bite try returning to them a few times during the day.
My best luck catching the pre spawn fish has been in 23 to 14 ft of water.
Have Fun !
