The days have been sizzilin but the nights have been cool. There is still a good morning bite on top water if you have an high incoming and high out going tide.
Fish the shade pockets for as long as you can or the east banks until the sun gets up.
The Rio Rico and the Rico in Illegal Red, Absolute and Holographic Shad colors have been doing very well remember if you get a short strike have a senko tied on to follow up. When the sun comes up go to punching the grass beds. I know the beaver has been the punch bait for along time but you really got to try D&Ms punch craw and a few other of their baits they work.
The nights have been getting cooler on Delta and the crank bite has started to come on as well so during the day throw you crank bait parallel to the grass beds along rip rap walls.
Your craw dads are dark orange, red and black in color so choose your crank bait accordingly.

For those of you that like Stripers they are coming in. Franks Track has a bunch of schoolies in it 5 to 8 pounds on swim baits and rattle traps. It you go towards Broad Slough take blue gill, split tails or shad. Anchor in the shallows that adjoin deep ledges and throw into the deep water the stripers are following the ledges.

There was a large school of Salmon that left the bay last week so they should be up North real soon this might be the weekend you want to hit Veara's or further up river. They have been doing very well casting and trolling with a bait called Daigre Qms, it's a dual spinner with a 1oz weight and one without a weight for trolling.

Local guide Rich Thiel has been doing very well on Stripers if your interested

Thanks and good fishing
Gene
