Re: delta fishing

Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to try out frank's this week. I took my new beater 12' aluminum out to holland tract for a few hours on tuesday with no luck. I'm hoping to have the Javelin on the water this week, there's a bit more room on the 20' Jav than the sears 12'.

delta fishing

The winds have stopped, it's supposed to get Hot. Even though we had some high winds a lot of the Delta is starting to clear up. There are a lot of bed fish but you can't see them and they are spooky, so stay off the the bank and make long cast, also you have to slow down. I have talked to a few people saying they are missing a lot of bites. In a lot of cases they have found bed fish and the fish were blowing the bait out of the bed.
Mildred has not yet turned on, this week should help that area a lot. If your in that area try throwing crank baits, chatter baits, or spinner baits around the levy breaks you can also throw a weightless worm or senko into the current and let it drift with the tide through the openning.
Big Break and Sherman Lake has already had a spawn and is getting ready for the next full moon. There are some swim bait and senko fish in Big Break.
Franks Track is still a mystery. I have seen very few fish on the Banks. Franks is about 1 to 2 weeks behind schedule.
Drop shotting is the choice in Franks but don't over look the swim bait and lunker punkers. If you want more info call the Hook Line and Sinker @925-625-2441
