Just because someone voices there opinion or states something that they don't approve of is whinning. Maybe some of you are too old and don't remember when you had kids at home or you don't have any at this point in your life. I have two kids, 6 and 5 years of age. Anytime anyone here thinks that this is whinning let me know and I will let you borrow my two kids for a week and then you will know what whinning sounds like. I would like to say to Tom and all involved that I really like this circuit. There is no way at this point in my life that I could afford to take the amount of time off to go up north and fish, but with this circuit it has allowed me to experience a pro/am format on a local level. And for that, I thank you. I was one of those guys that was wanting the regional at Lake Isabella. In my opinion(perceived as whinning by some) it was the most neutral lake considering the lakes fished in region 2. Two so cal lakes and two costal lakes. I would be guessing but the guys that fish the coast or so cal don't come up to Lake Isabella. It just so happens that the only way for us valley guys to qualify was to fish outside our region with the possibility of the regional fish off being in our backyard. Once again my hat is off to Tom and team, awesome circuit...................See you at Lopez. Gotta go for now, I'm going to go eat some cheese with my wine. P.S. As my mentor says "Now shut up and go FISH"

TomLeogrande	Re: CBC Region 2 Ahhhhh - its 1 trip not a whole series - come out on Thursday morning - pre fish - wack 'em on Friday and you'll be in for an 8 hour drive to Clear Lake! Remember you only need to get top 10 out of 40 so you don't need to prefish for a week. Besides bring the family - let them hang out at the beach while you are out fishing - then they can come watch you weigh in those hogs! Speaking of dredding drives - Try back to back to back to back to back weeks of 352, 476, 331, 142, 519 miles ---- -and oh yeah those are 1 way! so 704, 952, 662, 284, 1038 miles of driving!!!!! and thats only the first 5 weeks of this thing!!! 11 more weeks to go and then regionals! The closest event is 210 miles round trip! That's 3640 miles in 5 weeks.... at 60mph constant that's 60.+ hours of driving!!! And I don't even get to fish! Castaic to arroyo Grande is 160 miles one way. 2 hours 15 minutes.... for a shot at a guaranteed $1000 for getting 10th out of only 40 boats! Tell me another 40 boat tournament anywhere where you can get $1000 for placing 10th and still have a shot at a MUCH bigger prize after that.

TomLeogrande	Re: CBC Region 2 Exactly why a place like Big Bear is perfect.... We just couldn't find anything like that in Region 2. Imagine the disadvantage you would be at at Isabella? There are quite a few guys that whack 'em there - 30 lb bags even! Truthfully - I had 2 top 3 finishes on Lopez in my first 2 days on the water there (no prefish) back in the early 2000's when I sucked even worse than I do now! I really believe it is the fairest lake in the region and the fish can be caught in so many different ways.
