Clear Lake 5-11-12

LK and I went out at 8:30 o'clock and fished the north end without a bite using jigs, brush hawgs, Senkos and chatterbaits. Went back to my favorite spot about 10 p.m. and I picked up one on a 5 inch Senko. We fished another 45 minutes. LK said, Lets make one more run. He picked one up on a 5 inch Senko

When we started freezing and were ready to call it a day, LK said, lets make one more run.

As we started the run down the line a breeze picked up and there was a light ripple on the water. It or something else turned them on. LK had been using 6 inch Senkos and had one on again but couldn't get bit. I caught 2 three more. As soon as LK switched to a 5 inch Senko there was another fish on.

We went back to the harbor to quite and decided to try a few more casts. I told LK, "There usually a good fish in this corner," and cast. Boom, 3.5 pounder. My five was a bleeder so I chopped the bottom off.

Got home at 2:30 a.m.
